Featured Job: Principal Software Engineer (Greater Pittsburgh, PA)

Become one of the technical experts driving the strategic efforts for event-driven microservices at a global powerhouse for engineers. This role is for a tenured back-end developer looking to take their career to the next level. As the Principal Software Engineer, you enjoy being the SME on all things relating to microservices.

You’ll be tasked to solve challenges and work simultaneously on projects to create delightful applications that address an array of problems. You are an individual that can seek solutions, works well under deadlines, and delivers reliable results to assigned tasks.

Other people enjoy brainstorming with you, discussing roadmaps, and charting action plans to ensure all hands are on deck when it comes to your department providing value to the overall business.

You have a unique skill set that includes:

-Java (Spring Boot framework), NodeJS – one required
-REST API, JSON,
-Message Queue – e.g., RabbitMQ
-RDBMS – Oracle, PostgreSQL
-NoSQL Database – MongoDB
-Elastic Stack (ELK)
-Cloud platform services (AWS)
-CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins server, tomcat

You are a natural leader with the experience to influence a project’s outcome with your knowledge, not your brawn. Your daily responsibilities, including writing code, conducting code reviews, and in participating in daily stand ups. You’ll lead the team as a technical expert, developer, and act as an architect on large and complex projects. Your skills include an uncanny ability to switch between multiple projects, and be able to produce quality work independently and as part of a team.

Other requirements include:

A Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of development experience or Associates degree with 7+ years of development experience.
