Feature Job of the Week: Database Operations Manager

Database Operations Manager

This management level role is responsible for a team of database administrators and manages the database administration department’s daily operations. Strong experience in ensuring the reliability and performance of all databases.

The right candidate will have an innate ability to work across business areas to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database technologies. Experience with SQL and enterprise SaaS solutions in a 24-7-365 environment is critical.

As the manager, you’ll be expected to have hands-on experience with SQL installations and familiarity with the tools used to manage and monitor SQL instances. You’ll have a track record using the Maintenance Plan Design Surface in SQL Server and writing custom SQL queries.

The position requires someone who is flexible, able to accommodate on-call scheduling and who can optimize existing resources to promote efficiency within the managed environments.
