Joel graduated with honors from Penn State University and holds a master’s degree from Trinity Episcopal School. He’s active in the local community, and you’ll find he’s often volunteering to teach local students how to code.

As OpenArc’s VP of Engineering, Pete is responsible for ensuring that the product vision is realized through excellence in execution. Pete has worked with mission-critical systems for Fortune 100 clients to mobile applications for small entrepreneurs and startups. He has also consulted on and led projects for household name clients like Bank of America, Parker Hannifin, Ford, GM, Microsoft, Sanofi, and Proctor and Gamble. Pete graduated from Cornell University, and his current passions lie in innovation and strategy in mobile, wearable, and web technologies.

Leann Moore- Director of Operations

Leann collaborates with sales, delivery, and finance teams to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded. Leann leverages the relationships she had built to bring on new clients and works relentlessly to help them achieve tremendous growth. As the Director of Operations, Leann can combine her expertise in sales and analytics to deliver results. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh and is a big advocate of continuing education with hundreds of hours of leadership training under her belt.

As a leader and evangelist for design thinking, Mark works visually and visibly to engage employees and clients to envision and realize positive change He has worked at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), MAYA, LotterShelly, and Summa, helping business leaders in retail, banking, healthcare, medical devices, robotics, and manufacturing solve their most critical needs. Mark graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and is excited about the new challenges that wearables, zero UI, home automation, IoT, AR, and VR are creating for teams.

Scott Moore- Director of Recruiting

As the face of OpenArc’s brand and hiring team, Scott is a leader that wears many different hats. In the role of Director of Recruiting, Scott manages all aspects of the company’s Recruiting Life Cycle, including managing a team of recruiters, account managers and he’s responsible for moving the company forward. Scott’s experience is unique in that he was the second employee of OpenArc, starting as a recruiter and moving through the ranks quickly with his witty personality and uncanny ability to source and evaluate candidates. After his time in the Army, Scott graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Psychology. When Scott isn’t networking or putting out fires, you’ll find him working on his golf swing.

Michael Carpenter- Sr. Solutions Architect

He can also bootstrap teams into agile development, DevOps, and lean product management, making him a versatile technologist. For more than 15 years, Mike has helped companies use software to improve how they do business. As a senior solution architect, Mike has developed cloud adoption strategies for large software companies as well as built cloud solutions for startups looking to leverage the cloud’s key capabilities. Mike graduated from Penn State University, and he’s known to attend an array of local tech meetups when he’s not mountain biking around the Pittsburgh region.

Thad Longwell- Director of Delivery

A thought-leader and change-agent, Thad owns many aspects of OpenArc’s software delivery services, including Project Management. He is well-versed in Agile methodologies and coaching with a knack for taking teams to the next level. Project management has been at the forefront of Thad’s professional career, with a tenure spanning programming and database administration. Thad serves as Director of Delivery at OpenArc and acts as the liaison between Software Delivery and Operations. Thad’s leadership approach can be summed up as the client comes first, no-nonsense, and transparent. Thad graduated from West Virginia University, and when he’s not at work, you’ll find him lost in the great outdoors.
